Following on from the success of last years event which saw many volunteers and shop owners help to give Wick Village a Spring Clean (Watch the video from last year), the Wick Village Traders Association will be supporting the Great British Spring Clean event again this year. The campaign, which runs from the 2 - 4 March 2018, has a straightforward aim: "to bring people across the country together to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and beaches".

Wick Village is a great place to live and our community always pulls together, so we are pleased that once again a team of volunteers from the Wick Information Centre will be heading out to do their bit on Friday 2nd March 2018.  Please show your support if you see them :-)

Many of our members and local shop owners also helped last year and once again we hope they can join in and help make a difference.

If you are a local group or organisation that has Public Liability Insurance and that can carry out your own Risk Assessment, we would love you to join us. Please read the Guide to Organising a Great British Spring Clean Event 2018 first and if you meet the requirements then please contact us.

Not a member of an organisation, don't worry you can still help! Why not give your property a clean or report any fly-tipping you spot via the Arun District Council website Clean Streets page. You could even challenge yourself to pick up at least one piece of rubbish every day, just imagine what a difference this would make if we all did it ;-)

Together we can all make a difference.
